"Would you like some more?" he asked. Showing off his milky teeth as he smiled.
"No, thanks. I'm okay." I replied half-heartedly. It was cat fish. I really would have had some more but... I lost my appetite. We weren't talking. He said no more than a sentence in minutes which felt like years. I wasn't smiling. Neither was I frowning.
I looked away. Just across our table, I found a peculiar couple, or were they siblings? If I'm not mistaken, they did look alike. The lady was smiling. Their meals seemed untouched. They were talking. Sharing. They were having fun. Awww... so sweet.
Wait a minute. "It's Valentine." I thought out loud.
He looked at me astonishingly, perhaps angrily. "You just realized. Huh?"
I guess I was shocked, "You know. You know it's Val's Day?"
He gave a nod, said nothing more.

Say something. Please, say something!
I couldn't take it any longer. So I stood up, adjusted my designers top, picked up my bag and went for the door. Was he coming behind me? I only wondered. I didn't look back.
I walked past the other cute couple. They were so lost in their conversation. The lady was laughing. I was jealous. But who wouldn't be? They were everything I had wished for at that time. The tears fell.
When I got to the door. I turned. And caught a glimpse of the table where we had been. "What?" Now I was confused, not angry. He disappeared. Where is he?
Just when I open my eyes, I saw the fan rolling. Oh, it was only a dream.
It's July 14.
