And God called Samuel three good times, "Samuel, Samuel. . .Samuel, Samuel. . .Samuel, Samuel. . ." Aha, look at it closely, God literally called Samuel's name six times sef. But God never once said, "Amaka, Amaka, go to blogger, sign up and start blogging!" No, He didn't. Not even once. *phew* LOL.
So there are certain days when I be like, "Come, Amaka, na who send you message? you are tired. you've had a long day. You don't have to post anything now" That moment when life gets tough and we need that little something to keep us going. These are the quotes that inspire me to post once more.
I hope they will encourage a blogger, a writer or anyone who aspires to let the light shine.

You can either make it something that adds to the happiness levels in the world—or you can make it something that takes away.
You can either make it something that adds to the happiness levels in the world—or you can make it something that takes away.
So, next time you go to post a comment or an update or share a link, ask yourself: is this going to add to the happiness in the world?
And if the answer is no, then please delete.

Oh, I love good quotes They give me goose bumps. Those tiny, little revelations. They have the potential to keep our creativity juices flowing. It's also amazing how we understand each of them differently. Yeah.
For me, each blog post is a piece of my heart. If I don't feel it, I can't write it. I will not blog about anything I have not lived, experienced or seen. I'm as a channel through which the inspiration flows out. Ama keep giving, keep loving and keep shinning. This purpose keeps me blogging.
This is my 160th published post on the blog. :)

That’s a great quote Amaka and thanks for adding it. I was interested to see that several of the quotes, although good were not from people who would identify as Christians. I find that having a verse from the Bible to my e mail every day (sometimes even 2 verses) also lifts my feelings and reminds me of who I am and whom I serve. Quite often they are very relevant to what is going on in my life just then. If you are interested, this is a good site to look at and if you wish, sign up for a “verse of the day http://www.biblestudytools.com/bible-verse-of-the-day/ Blessings. -Kate
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a wonderful job. I am sure you have encouraged many through this medium. Keep it up dear
ReplyDeleteGod bless all people which write these words. I like #6 more! Every one who has a blog should read that... so much garbage here and there. Great quotes
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite quotes come from the great sports writer Red Barber: “Writing is easy. Just sit down and open a vein.”
ReplyDeleteBlogging can be such a challenge. It becomes easy to get discouraged or stressed, kind of what to take a writing hiatus for awhile. I would say one of my most important tips on here is to just keep writing. Keep writing.
