April Wise

Let's break away from the world's "April fool" syndrome and stand out as the lights that we are. I believe as a Christian, I blog for Christians. Yels!

Be April Wise

To be wise is to have the ability to have a good sense of judgment about a situation, and based on that, to know what to do. It’s about making the right decision given the situation you are in.

Being wise is essential to live a fulfilling life. The wiser you are, the more likely you are to have a happy and successful life. Why? Because it helps you make the right decisions in life.

But the question is: how can we be wise?

Well, there could be many other ways, but there is one that I believe is essential:

If you want to be wise, you must learn to see beyond the surface. Look deeply. - Amakamedia.

Yes, look deeply. To look deeply is to look at things through the eyes of your heart. Paul calls it, the 'eyes of our understanding'. Lemme explain why it is important to look deeply. . .

Our ability to make the right decision depends on our ability to have a good judgment on a situation. But to have a good judgment, you need to understand the things. You need to look beyond the packaging, and see the true content. Only then will you be able to judge the situation correctly and, based on that, to make the right decision.

Unfortunately, many people live on the surface level. They are so busy with the activities of life that they do not see beyond what appears to be real. As a result, they tend to just follow the crowd and do what everyone does. Or they just follow their natural instincts. I do not think it's a good way to live. Nope! It is not a good way to shine.

I can't tell you everything but there is ONE thing you can do to be able to see beyond the surface:

MEDITATE.

Like other articles I've written, yesterday's post was a result of meditation. Meditation is the means to a transforming mind. It means to think deeply and concentrate fully. When you think deeply about an issue, you see the things you wouldn't ordinarily see. Meditation is sweet. It is supernatural and powerful. And it is the key to having a successful life.

Joshua 1:8 says, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt MEDITATE therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have GOOD SUCCESS."

I can't afford not to be successful. Lailai! So, what do I have to do? Meditate. Meditation will help you make wiser, more peaceful decisions during everyday moment. The difference between a successful life and a disastrous life is simply the thinking process. That moment you get an idea.  I love such moments. The "Aha!" moment. :)

Wise people have a better understanding of things, and they live differently. They are not overwhelmed by this corrupt world. They set the standard. People quote their words. They are creative. They are what I call "The Ghenghen" people. (If you can't decode that, see me in camera. Lol)

I want to be wise. So I will dig deep into God's word. I will eat books. Because when I look deeply, I get insights and creative ideas. The mountains shall move and I shall see the light. :)

I will not go for anything less.

Do you have other ideas on being a wise person? Feel free to share them in the comments.

Happy April Wise!

  13. I would add EMPATHY as another essential ingredient of wisdom. The ability to see and appreciate others point of view combine with self understanding goes a long way. See how Jonathan accepted his defeat..... that's wisdom

  17. Ahh I love this post. (And your blog and the podcasts, for the record – having just discovered both this week!) This sums it up perfectly for me. I finally find a Faith-based blog I can relate with.

Here is my little contribution: By means of wisdom you canmake your way into a hope-filled future. It is the key to lasting happiness. Proverbs19:8 says, "He who gets wisdom loves himself." In other words, do yourself a favor: Get wisdom! Get wisdom! Proverbs8:32–36 sums it all up beautifully. Here wisdom herself is speaking and she
says, "And now, my sons, listen to me: happy are those who keep my ways . . . Happy is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting beside my doors. For he
who finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord; but he who misses me injures himself; all who hate me love death." If we do not make it our aim to "get wisdom," we will suffer injury and finally death.

    Happy April Wise everyone!

  18. Wise people learn from the experiences and mistakes of others, they don't wait for life to teach them hard lessons if they can help it.
