11/07/2015: Excellent Spirit Activated

You remember the programme I told you about last Sunday. Right? Too bad you didn't attend. You missed!

Notes from the RCCG Youth Convention tagged 'The Excellent Spirit'

I didn't take so much notes. It was too practically spiritual to write anything. You would have to enter into my spirit to understand what I received that day. I mean, the Spirit moved. My God! It was awesome!

What I'm about to tell you is like scraps because the main content is not in words, but in power. *speaks in tongues*

How do I write in tongues? How do I interpret the words of the Spirit? Phew! I will just write something somehow. I hope God helps you understand.

Notes from Pst. Bolaji Idowu

The senior pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC)
Topic: Breaking cycles of stagnation

Reasons why people are stagnated: Lack of exposure, low mental capacity, poor relationship capacity, no financial discipline, small visions, and refusal to change.

You need to change your thinking to break through stagnation. Enlarge your mind and widen your scope of knowledge.

One thing he said that shook me was; The six closest people in your life at the moment shows you what your future will look like.

Jeez! I need me a new friend. Lol.

Notes from Pst. Bisi Akande

Regional Youth Pastor, RCCG
Topic: Striving for Excellence
Text: Daniel 6:1

Nothing short of excellence is acceptable. You should be excellent because God demands it. You are wired for excellence. Excellence is not a programme or a place to reach, it is a lifestyle. The way you talk, walk, think, and do everything should show excellence.

People only celebrate excellence. They tolerate mediocrity until they can afford excellence. Step up on your game so you will not be left behind.

One thing he said that shook me was; Legacy is when you have a book that was written about you or when you have written a book that people will read.

I've started thinking about writing a book because I want to leave a legacy mehn

Notes from Pst. Remi Oluboba
Topic: Dare to be Different

A man who possesses an excellent spirit stands out from the crowd. To possess an excellent spirit, you must dare to be different.

Characteristics of those who dare to be different: They know their purpose, they are passionately committed to their purpose, they make sacrifices to fulfil their purpose, they are motivated to get to the finish line, they seek and obey God, they choose their friends, and they are God's favourite.

I want to be God's favourite. What about you?

Notes from Pst. Gabriel Adarabioyo
Topic: Anointing for Excellence
Text: Hebrews 1:9

Excellence is a divine ability. You need the anointing to do the extraordinary. The anointing is the fundamental requirement for the taking off. Anointing is the power that brings the results.

Ask God to anoint you with the spirit of excellence. Me, I've not stopped praying.

(You should see the choir and the guest music minister. Oh my! I'll give update with more pictures later)

July 11, 2015 was a day that God created. I rejoiced and was glad in it. :)

The Excellent Spirit is upon us.
The anointing of God is upon us.
Let us activate it already!

So, what's up?

  9. Thank you for the encouragement. You have no idea how your blog has inspired me to begin the creative process anew. I've been reading your skills and commandments of writing. I think you're a writer's writer. You write for writers. You can put all these posts together and make a book of it. You never know until you try.

  13. Whao. Really? THANK YOU. I never thought about having a blog, now I do. I know I can write a book if I put my excellent mind to it.

I kinda think a book is a shareable idea. It needs to be more than a blog post - It should be an in depth examination of a single issue. I know I will write a book eventually but for now, I'm still learning the art of writing. :)

    I really appreciate your comment!
