What I Wore To Church: Cold Things

Happy Sunday! Enjoying the weekend? Here is an outfit that makes no sense, really. But I can't quite take my eyes off it. Could I actually . . . maybe . . . like it?

Cold-Inspired

I love clothes. I think clothes are an amazing way to define our personalities and express ourselves. Hey, that's one of the reasons why I blog about What-I-Wore!

Being generally inspired by colours, prints and everything African when it comes to fashion, I can say that my sense of fashion is a mix and match, a falling rainbow, a cacophony of everything I like. And when it comes to style, I am not afraid to push myself.

I caught a cold.

Wanting to look fabulous, but also fearing the dress I had in mind will leave me freezing on the way, I decided to wear something to cover up my long neck because that's where cold starts for me.

The turtleneck top came to my rescue.

I've had this top for a loong time. Those who knew me as way back as 2011 might remember how I rocked it hard. Lol. I think I'm falling in love with it again.

I simply made a neutral dress interesting by layering and adding a touch of my style rays - a pair of Ankara earrings, Ankara belt and an Ankara scarf. The look is cool and colourful (although a bit monochromatic), it was all I needed for church last Sunday.
Wearing the turtleneck felt like I was wearing a blanket. I felt cozy. I felt good.

So I got home, took off the heels and dress, and found myself loving up on the turtleneck. With a Jean skirt, I stepped out with it again . . .

How is your Sunday looking like? Would you give this look a pass or a fail?
