Hi sweeties! How are you doing? It's the month of June! Welcome to a brand new month. My birth month. Yippee!
What do you do when you don't know what to wear to a wedding? Finding the perfect wedding guest outfit may seem easy, but sometimes it is not. It's either because you can’t find a style that works for you, a colour that matches the day or because you have a dress in your head but can’t find it your wardrobe.

Here is what I did 😉
Colourless At Wedding
At every wedding I get to attend where I am not on the bridal train or among the asoebi friends, I find it pretty difficult to pick out what to wear.
When I think about what I'm going to wear to a wedding, I almost instantly think about the type of dress, but also the colour. Yes, the colour. Very important.
For you too, right?
If any of your friends or family members have decided to tie the knot this season, I’ll bet you’ve already spent some time pondering what you’ll wear. How long does it take for you to finally decide?
I hope I'm not the only one who get to make up their mind on that very morning of the wedding day. Please, tell me you do this too!
When you get invited to a wedding, you start thinking and dreaming about how you want to look. The ideal look will depend on a number of factors:
- how close you are to the bride and groom
- where the wedding is going to be and what it’s going to be like
- is there a selected colour(s) for the day?
- will it be a civil or religious ceremony? Will it have a classic or more African vibe?
Impeccable wedding guest etiquette demands that you follow the bride's cues. Ultimately, her preferences will dictate what her wedding guests may wear. If you are ever in doubt about what colour you should wear to the wedding, ask the bride.
And if you don't want to bother the bride or are not close to the bride, wear whatever you feel quite comfortable in.
I woke up that morning and I decided "you know what, I'm going to wear this and that".

You can choose to be conservative by carefully and thoughtfully selecting a monochromatic outfit. Perhaps, a colourless one. I say colourless because black and white are not exactly colours but the absence and presence of light rays respectively.
My friend, Deizy and I decided to go colourless at a colleague's wedding. We twinned in style. 😍😊
The truth is that there are times you want to look really special for a wedding, and others you don’t give your outfit much thought. Whatever you wear, the bride and groom are going to feel special for honouring them.

P.s I am not a lipstick person but I did wear lipstick for Wale's wedding. I was surprised to find that I had so much fun and didn't even remember I had them on. I wasn't self conscious or felt insecure for a sec. Boy, how much I've grown. A-ha!
Yay or nay? Do you think the colourless outfits were given much thought?
Happy Sunday!
Stay inspired.
