Word For Year 2020
"Happy New Year!" "Happy New Year!" I am literally screaming at the top of my voice. I just got back from the Cross Over service at my local church. Whoop!
It's astonishing how so many people troop into churches every December 31 just to shout 'Happy New Year'. . . even those that did not go to Church throughout the year. You know why? Because it is a Thanksgiving Celebration that we made it through the last year and a show of gratitude for what the Lord shall do in the New Year.
The New Year's Eve is very significant.
I'm grateful to God that I was among those who were able to jump, dance and shout "Happy New Year" at 00:00. It's the start of a new decade. Oh my!
Thank You, Jesus!
Thank You, Jesus!
Thank You, Jesus!
At the Cross Over Service, the prophetic theme for this new year was revealed as, 'THE EXTRA MILE' for the church to run with. I love it. I am so going to be rolling with it this year. Yes! Let's go extra!

My husband, as the priest and prophet of the family has declared, 'DIVINE MOULDING' as our word for this new year hinged on Isaiah 45:9-13. We believe that 2020 is going to be filled with many transitions and new challenges (especially as we choose to go the extra mile). We know it would be painful and would require a lot of sacrifices, but we KNOW that God will use every opportunity to MOULD and REFINE us. . . into becoming all He has created us to be.
Pray Along:
Lord, thank You for keeping me in love and health. Thank You for leading me into a new year. I commit year 2020 into Your able hands. Please help me to go the extra mile where I need to. Make my going the extra mile count. And as I walk through this journey with you, may I be totally yielded to Your perfect will. Lord, I receive the extra grace to remain obedient, to remain faithful, and to remain calm. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

. . . to put in a greater effort than is natural or normal to achieve a goal
. . . to exceed expectations
But, it is not going to be easy.
One has to be extra-motivated to want to go the extra mile.
You can either be internally motivated or externally motivated but you must find a PERSONAL REASON to go the extra mile, otherwise it is just the beginning of the end for you.
I like to be more internally motivated to do something when I try. That's part of the reason why I'm blogging about it today. This year, I am going the extra mile in my christian walk, in my marriage ministry and in my media business.
When you motivate yourself and make decisions based on your personal reflection, you actively improve your performance. When you find a reason to believe in you and in your ability to make a difference, you strive for your 'personal best'. You inspire yourself to stay on the course to succeed. This is internal motivation.
