This post is the fifth lesson. I hope it inspires you in some way. Happy reading!
Own Your Mistakes
You may be tempted to say, "If only”. If only I did this differently? If only I made a better decision here? If Only. . . If only. . . If only. . .
Don’t go there.
If you made mistakes, learn from them. If you need to apologize, do so. But don’t build a home in the past. The past is a point of reference, not a place of residence.
Once you identify mistakes, come back to the present. Immediately. If not, you will live in your past rather than learn from it. When you live in the past, you’re next door neighbours are regret and bitterness. And they visit everyday.
We've all made one mistake or the other and probably deserve whatever curse was released upon us at one point or the other but hear me. Through the mercies of Christ, who was made a curse for us, when we accept His finished work on the cross and repent of our foolish actions, the curses becomes causeless and of no effect.
Today, reflect back and think of one action in the past that could attract any curse upon your life. Repent of the sin and ask Christ to lift any curses place upon your life. . .
Then, choose not to walk in those paths again.
I was going to share a major mistake from my 20s but the Spirit didn't grant me the permission to. Whatever the mistake was, IT IS FINISHED. It is no longer resting on me. I am free. Hallelujah!
