It's been a "Linda Ikeji" Week

This is probably my first post about current news and trends. Most times, I blog about my day, my week and in fact, my entire life. (which can be boring too. lol) And other times, I talk about the things I do love, the lessons I've learnt and everything beautiful. Well, this is one news I can't afford not to share...

Google Shuts Down Linda Ikeji's Blog

You already know who Linda Ikeji is. But just in case you didn't know, she is currently the most popular blogger in Nigeria. She blogs about entertainment and celebrity news. *sighs* Should I also tell you that Google shut down down her blog for plagiarism and copyright infringements. Oh c'mon, where have you been? lol. Read the news on Uche and Moyo's blog here

I don't know about the details, but there has been a lot of back and forth about it. Whatever it is, plagiarism is bad. Plagiarism is using another man's work, ideas or expressions as one's original work without acknowledgement. It is plainly stealing. If you must copy somebody, mention the person's name, biko. It's painful when someone else gets credit for your labour. (One of the reasons why I ran away from Facebook earlier tho)

So I didn't know how much I love and respect this lady until this happened. I have never defended anything that isn't about God or family so much in my life!

Linda is an inspiration. She worked all the way to where she is today. She proves that a woman can make it without loosing her dignity. Although she gossips a lot, yet she does it with some style. When your personality reflects strength, it radiates in your work.

Guess what, her blog was restored about after 24hours. I was shocked, and perhaps filled with emotions when I read the long story she posted about it all (You might read it here too). I don't even know what to say/write about it.

I'm like, "what was that guy thinking?" "Is it that he's in love with her?" I think so somehow.

Anyway, I'm glad she's back and better jawe. Before now, she's been blogging all by herself and now she's taking it to the next level :)

What doesn't kill you, will make you strong. It's true, "A set back is a set up for a come back."

One more thing, don't forget who helped you when you get to the top. I'm learning.

Thanks for reading.
