6.10.14

Not Another Long Boring Weekend

When the Federal Government declared Monday 6th and Tuesday, 7th of October, 2014 as public holidays to mark the Id-el-kabir Sallah celebration. I knew it was going to be another long and boring weekend if I don't plan to make it an interesting and exciting one.

That moment you're asking, "what do I do with this break?" We've all had such moments. Tell me, what do you do?
I had Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday to do anything I like. I decided to make it worthwhile. And it was indeed.

Here are 7 ways to enjoying a public holiday/break (it worked for me):

  1. Go get some fresh air
  2. Step out to a new environment
  3. Do something new
  4. Spend time with friends
  5. Spend time with family
  6. Learn new skills
  7. Do something creative

I traveled, spent time with friends and attended a seminar on the Id-el-kabir Sallah break. I had fun!

You might read about the journey here and the seminar here.

Life is too short not to have fun. Celebrate life. Get excited
