So I counted the number of WIW posts I have officially done already. This is the 15th. I'm happy about it. And I dunno why. :)
Street Style
All the while, I'd been showing you What I Wore when I'm on high heels. So I decided to do something different this time. No heels. No paparazzi. No ajebutter things.
This is an ajepako WIW post. I want you to imagine me as a 20-something single lady who lives in the suburb of Lagos, and is trying really hard to be fashionable. Lol. Well, maybe it's real . . . imagination can sometimes be created out of reality.
Alrightie, I'm guessing this is what they call "street style". I like to say; street style is what people generally wear in an everyday sort of situation, not what celebrities wear on the red carpet. Or how do you define street style? I could be wrong.
Denim. . . Denim skirts. Denim skirts are a great fashion piece to have in your wardrobe. I'm a big fan of jean skirts of all kinds. I easily wear a denim skirt on weekends, as part of a cute date outfit, or even pair it with tailored separates and great accessories to wear to the office. I actually wore it this way to run errands and do a little weekend shopping.
Aha! So much for street style. |
Repping the streets of Oshodi in Lagos state. *grins* |
I created a cool, deliberately undone look with the half-tuck. It's a little outside my comfort zone. But hey, we gotta push ourselves further to try out new styles.
I've had this shirt for more than three years now. A friend actually gave it to me. It's amazing how I never really read what is inscribed on it. I always see the "minding your head" but the ".info" I only noticed recently. I guess being a blogger who takes her own photographs makes me see the dots clearer . . . literally and figuratively.
Meanwhile, I have checked the website yet. It's nice. I wonder how he (my friend) got it.
In case you're wondering What I Wore on my feet. It was a pair of street slippers. Lol.
What do you think of this style - trendy or sloppy?
Happy Sunday!
Thanks for being there. Mwuah!
