2 Things To Do Before The Year Ends

How would you describe your year? For some of us, it has been the fastest year. While for some of us, it seem to have been the slowest year.

Whatever be your case, you can still have the best one.

Just Before The Year Ends

"This is not the time to cry or give up. In fact, this is the best time to get fired up, push forward and have the best year ever."

That was what I said to myself as I read the vision written down in my private diary again.

I know the feeling of wanting something so much, and never getting them. It is frustrating and depressing.

I also know the feeling of wanting something so much, and finally getting them. It is satisfying and esctactic.

So I am writing this article to encourage you just as much as I encourage myself.

Sometimes it is not about how you started, it is about how you finished.

There are TWO things you can do before the year ends - PUSH and FINISH.

PUSH

Fight against your self and push forward.

Life can be challenging. There are many obstacles that can stand in your way, but don't be one of them. Don't let your thoughts, assumptions and fear hold you down.

Someone defined P.U.S.H as 'Pray Until Something Happens'. Cool.

However, 'P' might come across as something quite different for you. It could be:

Play Until Something happens
Plan Until Something happens
Press Until Something happens
Praise Until Something happens

You just have to push yourself. You have to stretch your limits. Every single day (from now on) without exception. That is how you go forward. And that is how you win.

Like I planned to get a purposeful job this year. And sadly, I haven't. But that shouldn't stop me from pushing!

Remind yourself that being alive gives you hope and can make a difference. Focus on the positive possibilities.

Even if you're not applying for a new job, maybe it's a good time to update your CV and your LinkedIn profile? Maybe it's time to go hard on telling people about your skills and to keep spreading the word.

What are you going to start pushing on before the year ends?

You know what you want - to be a better person, to get a better result, a better job, a lighter weight etc. You have to go out there and get them.

And yes, you have been pushing yourself. Keep pushing! Don't give up yet!

FINISH

I'm sure you had some resolutions for this year which you're yet to fulfil. Finish at least 3 things you said you'd do this year but haven't done yet.

Work on your goals and wrap them up by the end of the year.

Remember some of the promises you made about your family, about your career/business, about your weight or about relationships that you never got around to keeping?

You may not be able to do everything because the time is short, but if you can do just three, you'll feel happier and fulfilled.

Finishing strong means achieving your set goals. It means meeting up with your resolutions.

Fortunately, for me, I had just ONE RESOLUTION for the year. It's high time I took it more seriously.

Don’t let the final days and weeks of the year slip away.

Spend time doing the things that are important to God, to you, to your family. And make the most of the time left.

GET UP - PUSH FORWARD - FINISH STRONG

The year is almost over. But thank God it isn't . . . Something can still happen!

You shall finish strong in Jesus name. Amen.

What do you need to push yourself at? What can you still get done before the year ends?
