How To Pose Like A Model
If those who do not enjoy taking pictures are said to be camera-shy, then what do you call those who enjoy taking pictures? Camera-bold!
Hardly a day goes by without having to be in front of a camera. I love to see myself in pictures. And I like to convince myself that it's a good thing.
If you are camera-shy, maybe you need to work on getting your confidence up so that you feel better stepping in front of the camera.
Instead of trying to look good for the camera by finding a look that is fashionable or trendy, look good by finding a look that makes you comfortable.
Maybe you need to find a reason to have that picture.
Or, maybe you only need to shift your focus from your poses . . . to having fun and enjoying the moment.

Once you become camera-bold, you are just a snapshot away from looking like a model. Yep!
Models are not perfect. They have flaws, but they learn how to work with them. Want to take pictures like a model? Here are the tips that work (for me) most of the time:
Models are not perfect. They have flaws, but they learn how to work with them. Want to take pictures like a model? Here are the tips that work (for me) most of the time:
Tip #1
Make the mirror your BFF
I love mirrors. Just standing there and watching how my body shapes and fit into my clothes is a beautiful sight.
Stand in front of a mirror before stepping out and perfect your poses and learn how your body shapes. The mirror is a perfect tool to show you what the camera can see – try to imagine a professional photographer in front of you and pose away!
Practise the poses you like the most as many times as you like, so when the camera shows up you can unleash the model in you. Whenever I'm in front of the camera, I go into them (my practised poses) automatically. Your pictures will always come out great and people will think that you are naturally photogenic.

Tip #2
Smile your smile
Your smile was designed for your face, and personality! Let your smile shine through the camera - let your friends see the smile you give your friends when you see them after being apart for a while. (Think of the smile you give them and practise in the mirror.) Or think of the smile you get when someone gives you a good belly laugh. What about the soft smile when a stranger helps open the door?
Practise these emotions and looks in front of a mirror to see what you think looks nice, and use your muscle memory to replicate the same looks in your next photoshoot.
Tip #3
Open your mouth
You can set a completely different mood with your mouth slightly opened. It reduces extra weight off the sides of your face and make you look more relaxed. It can also give out some positive rays to whoever sees the picture.
Tip 4
Keep your hands loose and fluid
They call it the ‘ballet hands’. It means to be thrown around . . . If you're a good dancer like me it will come naturally. This was drilled into me from heaven. *winks*
Tip #5
Play with what is available
If you are wearing a flowing dress, play with it by tossing it into the air or working the movement in the bottom. I really don't know how else to say it: Just have fun.

Oh, I love love love the camera. Taking photos of myself is a fun way to express my mood, capture a moment I want to remember, and tell a story with my life.
Bonus Tip #6
Feel Beautiful
We are all different and that’s what makes us beautiful. So don’t shy away from having your photo taken. Be a part of it and put your best face forward with a bit of positivity and a little ray of wisdom. You are more beautiful than you think. Be-YOU-tiful!
It can be frustrating if you don’t like the way you look in any of your pictures. I hope this post has been of some use to you and that you can take something from it. As I said, it’s just
