The Free Gift Of Righteousness
There are times when I do things that I think are not pleasing to God or don't do things that I think should please God, I feel as though I lost my righteousness. I tend to fall into the temptation of condemning myself because I give room to the lies of the devil. But Praise God! The moment I believe God treats us as righteous apart from our works or obedience, my faith grows!
And this is what God wants you to use your faith for.
You are not righteous because of how morally upright you are. You are not righteous because you exercise self-control. You are not righteous because you read 10 chapters of the Bible daily. You are not righteous because you feel righteous. But you are the very righteousness of God in Christ solely because the sacrifice of Jesus made you so. It is grace.
Apostle Paul said, "I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" (Galatians 2:21).
I'm so excited in my spirit because the devil just lost a battle. Aha!
Firstly,
"For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ."
— Romans 5:17
They which receive . . . the gift of righteousness.
They which receive . . . the gift of righteousness.
Many do not realize that righteousness is not something we do. Righteousness is something we receive. RECEIVE. That is why it is called a “gift” in the Bible. Gifts are not earned. Gifts are simply and thankfully received.
Righteosness means "right standing with God". Right standing with God cannot be earned, either. That would make it a wage, not a gift. Right standing with God can only be received as a gift provided by the sacrifice of Jesus. Can you see it?
Secondly,
The Lord Our righteousness.

"And this is His name whereby He shall be called, The Lord Our Righteousness."
— Jeremiah 23:6
The Lord Our righteousness.
The Lord Our righteousness.
Our righteousness before God is not something we are or something we have done. Our righteousness is the Lord Jesus Christ. God has put us in Christ and the risen Christ Himself is our righteousness.
For example, when you feel lousy because you have just shouted at your brother, God wants you to exercise your faith to see yourself as still righteous in the midst of that failure. This living revelation that your righteousness is found in Christ will give you the strength to love your brother and reconcile things with him.
The devil may remind you of your outburst and question your integrity: “How dare you call yourself righteous when you just did that!” Just ignore his lies and boldly declare, “I am not righteous because of what I have done or not done. I am righteous only because of the blood and finished work of Jesus at the cross!”
Always remember, we are not trying to live a holy life in order to earn righteousness; living a holy life is a natural outgrowth of being saved by God’s grace and filled with His Spirit. It is also important to not give up when we mess up. When we fail, our response should be to confess the sin and keep moving forward in our Christian walk.

You have to believe it.
Without faith, you can’t receive your blessings; you will not run a successful race; and the devil will defeat you; you will not be able to help others be saved or healed because you don’t know His Word and have not cultivated your faith. Jesus always rebuked His disciples: “Where is your faith.” Because He knew without faith, they would not achieve anything.

Righteousness - it's not something you do, it is a gift you receive.
Receive righteousness right now, by faith!
Happy New Week
Have a great one.

P.s Having this revelation does not give us licence to continue in sin but to overcome sin. Tongue out to the devil. Yes!
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.” Isaiah 54:17
