Styling This Very Moment

Hey there! How are you feeling in this moment? Yep, in this very moment you are reading this. If you're aware of that feeling right now, then you're living in the moment! 😇

Styling This Very Moment

I told you I'd be taking a break off the blog for about three weeks so that I can commit to writing and finishing the 'HWMH' book but hey, I'm back here in less than two weeks. I couldn't help but to fully enjoy this moment and live in the present.

There is something uneasy about holding up for the future and letting the present slip by. It is not a comfortable position to be in because life unfolds in the present. And sometimes we could be letting the present slip away, letting time to rush past unobserved and unseized, and squandering the precious seconds of our lives as we worry about the future and ruminate about what's past.

If you allow yourself to be a victim of time – a victim of the past and a slave to a future that is yet to unravel – you will carry with you a sense of unease. You will be susceptible to stress, agitation and feel generally uncomfortable about a lot of things.

There is freedom in surrendering to this very moment. Basking in it. Enjoying it. Living it. Styling it.

So today happens to be tagged 'Ankara Praise Sunday' by the youths in my local church where everyone's encouraged to dress up in this lovely circle-patterned Ankara fabric and have an awesome moment of fellowship in God's presence. Being one of the passionate fans of Ankara and a Style Blogger at that, I thought myself "why not take pictures to post on the blog?". Then I thought to myself again, "you are on a break. No #StyleSunday till next month. Forget it."

I stalled till the service was over when I got this:

You can stop worrying for the future and stop thinking about the past by being fully here. Now. This moment.

So I finally found myself taking a few "blog-able" pictures to capture this moment and keep the memory.

In furtherance to my goal of inspiring you to wear Ankara everywhere possible — to the office, to the mall, at a wedding, for a business meeting, etc, here are the hottest latest styles I found on my church family members. . . Enjoy!

He looks so cute in those sneakers. You can rock his outfit to parties, hang outs, sport centres.
A lovely corporate dress. You can wear this to the office.
 Dare's Ankara tie is popping.
Women in glasses, lol

Wherever you are, commit to being there, completely. GOD will take care of the rest.

Frankly, I just wanted to have these pictures  saved here because they remind of this moment. This moment is all that can exist, because this is what I feel right now.

You can’t feel the past or the future, but you can feel what it feels like to touch something right now, to see something right now, to hear something right now. . .

Thanks for reading.
