In case you missed it, I officially announced that I was pregnant on YouTube and have already shared my first trimester update and second trimester update on Heart Rays . This is probably the most monumental thing to happen to me in my life so far, and I am documenting my journey here.
This has been on the draft list for so long and now it’s time to publish it. 😊
Week 29 - week 32
Our little one seems to be moving and kicking a lot now and I’m enjoying every bit of it. I feel the movement once I sit down and especially when I go to bed and lie down on my side. I can’t describe the feeling but it’s a mixture of weird and amazing. At this stage I’m feeling quite large and ‘heavy’. A few times I’ve felt a twinge up in my ribs where I’m pretty sure baby is sticking a foot, so hyper!
I am beautifully embracing my bump in different Ankara Outfits and feeling really amazing.

The fact that I can no longer wear my wedding ring at Week 31 because my fingers are swollen is a major shocker for me.
I hear women say their hair and nails grow longer and faster during pregnancy but mine is getting weaker and breaking off quite easily — which has never been the case before now. You all know my nails are natural, long and beautiful. I even created an article just for them here.
Poor nails, gotta go! |
Currently having these:
So yeah, overall, no pregnancy complications, or any emergency phone calls or doctor visits. I’ve been blessed with a beautiful pregnancy. *Hands in the air* Thank You, Jesus!
Just five weeks to go (more or less)…I can’t believe it! I know every pregnancy is SO different – some women experience “all the things” while others have an easier time. Feel free to share any thoughts, opinions or personal anecdotes in a comment below…it’s such an interesting journey and no two experiences are the same!
NOW WE WAIT....
All I can do now is wait. Maybe it’s a boy or a girl or twins, maybe not. I’m ok with any of these blessings. These next few weeks will fly by I’m sure. All I can do is shut out stress, take care of myself, eat well, try to sleep, hydrate, and prep last minute baby stuff.
Staying happy and chill is my end of third trimester goal so that I can be in the best mental place for the big day and the weeks that follow!
- Baby moves around a lot
- Belly button too sensitive
- Difficulty finding a comfortable sleeping position
- Larger breasts
- More frequent need to pee
- Swollen fingers and feet
- Tender breasts
Looking forward to:
- Leaking breast (lol. Kachi can’t wait.)
- Fake contractions
- Knowing the gender
- Baby shopping items
- Professional maternity Photoshoot
- Meeting the little one(s)

I am thinking of a nice labour and delivery hairstyle. Should I do braids, dreads or weaves?
Yeah. Wait for it…. Part 2 loading... I think that’s going to be the fun part. Bring it!
