10 Practical Ways To Unlock Your Creativity in 2025

I want you to be able to look in the mirror and feel incredibly proud of the person looking back at you. This is to everyone who is committed to growing, refining their craft, and elevating their art, 2025 promises to be even better for you. Let’s dive into some practical steps to make 2025 your most creative year yet.

Unlock Your Creativity For 2025

Unlock creativity for 2025

There are some things that I did in 2024 that I’ll work on even harder in 2025.

1. Self-Reflection
The first step in creating something remarkable is taking a step back to reflect.

Why it matters:
  • Understand where you are and where you’re coming from.
  • Define where you want to go next.
Self-reflection is your compass—it reveals truths about your journey without sugarcoating them. As I worked on every project, I constantly asked myself:
  • Am I creating work I’m proud of?
  • Is this the path that aligns with my full potential?
These reflections helped me refine my direction and focus.

Meanwhile, AMAKAMEDIA PRODUCTIONS produced her very first movie. Go watch it on YouTube. 😊

2. Outline Your Creative Goals
Your ideas need structure to thrive. Once you’ve reflected, it’s time to turn those thoughts into actionable goals.

Remember:
- Write your goals down. Ideas in your head are just dreams until they’re on paper.
- Set goals that align with your creative vision, not to impress others.
- Include timelines, action plans, and milestones.
- Be honest about your capacity and priorities.

3. Commit to Reading
Reading inspires creativity, expands your imagination, and improves your discipline.

I immersed myself in books about Self-Mastery, Parenting, storytelling, and business. Those books didn’t just inform me—they fired me up in various ways.

Create a reading list for 2025. Include books, articles, and even scripts that challenge and inspire you.

STYLE: The Year has been Lighted

Happy First Sunday of the Year! I hope you went to church today, whether physically or online? If you didn’t, it is well with you. However, if you did, what did you wear?

Yes, I am interested in knowing what you wore to church? Let me know.

2024 is LIGHT-ED

I am almost accustomed to starting my posts with “I don’t know where this post is headed but…” So I do not want to start like that on this one. Here is what I am going to do instead:

I am going to share highlights of today’s sermon, ‘Walking in the Light,’ with you while showing you pictures of what I wore to church today. Meanwhile, I worshipped at the Teens church today, and it was truly an uplifting service.

Appearing in Light and Glamour

Happy New Year!!! Welcome to 2024! You made it! You are still standing strong.

Year of Showing

I would love to go straight into word declaration for 2024, but I think it’s wise to share a glimpse of my review for 2023

I have consciously and consistently created the system of defining my year with a word or a phrase as I receive divine blueprint throughout the year. From ‘Basking in Glory' to 'Prepare Your Heart', to 'Decide To Decide', etc., my journey has been incredibly beautiful to behold.

However, last year took me by surprise. When I declared “New Hair, New Me,” I limited my definition and understanding to SELF-CARE. I assumed God was telling me that my port-partum hair breakage was going to stop and I will dwell and bask in pampering myself and all things associated with getting my natural hair back.

Lol. Jesus Iye!!!

2023 took a TOTALLY DIFFERENT turn. Yes, you could say it was a year for self-care but it was actually self-care pro max-max!!!

Dear Diary, I Really Wanted A Boy

I’m a planner. I like to know my baby’s gender as soon as I am considered pregnant! But this time, Kachi and I involuntarily embraced the idea of being surprised until our second baby was born.

International Day Of The Girl Child 2022

“I want a boy.” I repeated as many times as possible. I told the people who were qualified to be told. It was what I wanted.

Some of the people I told smiled and wished same along with me while some looked at me with judging eyes. "You should just wish for a healthy pregnancy and baby. That's what's most important."

Oh well, I couldn’t help wanting what I wanted.

I wanted a boy and wasn't ashamed of that. I knew that I'd be a great mother to either boys or girls, so why should I have felt bad for having a preference? Was I any less grateful for getting the opportunity to parent another child? Was I being a selfish brat and only thinking about my wants, instead of thanking the heavens that I was able to conceive again?

Of course not.

How To Make Any Year Your Best Year

Happy New Year, Sweethearts of my blogosphere! I know. . . I know I have been MIA on this space quite frequently but it’s really been so fascinating doing things differently. Guys, I have seen GROWTH. And you know how keen I am on growing, changing and all things related, right?

Refresh The New Year

How to have the best shot of the year

This year is not just another “new year” but the first of the blank pages of a whole year waiting for what we will write into our lives, and what growth, changes and greatness we’ll pull from within.

In as much as we would like it to be so, no one can wake up one day a completely changed person. Any meaningful change to your life takes constant effort over a sustained period of time. While the idea of long term change can seem scary, it also means a little bit everyday can take you a long way in forging habits you’ve always wanted to.

Some changes happen because you intentionally worked them out, but some happen without you even knowing. I am yet to decide whether I am more content with the changes I discerned or the ones that forcefully pounce on me. Nevertheless, I have grown to embrace change both in the presence of fear and/or faith. Glory to God!

I love sharing my life with you guys, but sometimes it's hard to be vulnerable. Blessedly, my most vulnerable posts on this blog have been met with the warmest reception. Cheers to authenticity! These are my three goals for the new year:

How To Practically Live Daily For God

Living life, in this earthly realm, is a constant war against darkness and the kingdom of darkness. We have no choice even if we try to live in denial. We are fighting every day.

Living Daily For Jesus

How to practically live for jesus every day

The day of judgment is swiftly approaching, and if our eyes are open, we can see that already the righteous judgements of God are being visited upon the earth. A friend of mine recently said, "We are having a rude awakening before the great awakening." I believe it.

It's been an awakening experience for me these past days. My heart is vehemently turned to the things that matter most.

Have you ever felt a mysterious stirring within you, as if your hidden personal destiny was to engage in a noble war against the forces of darkness? This is God calling you to live for Him.

When The Heartbreaker Doesn't Deserve Your Apology

Happy New Week Sweethearts! I write this post with swollen eyes and dried tears. The tears have stopped flowing but the traces are visible. What I'm about to share with you today radiates from a heart flooding with peace.

Blessed Are The Peacemakers

Blessed are the peacemakers_amakamedia

Heartbreak blows you open. That's certainly not the most wonderful opening sentence, but tell me that's not wisdom. Don't leave me!

Oh. You didn't catch my drift? Sorry. Maybe that's why I drifted from the relationships I threw myself into, because the guys couldn't catch me. Wisdom. Don't leave me!

Oops. I'm not playing with you like they do in Italy. Give me another chance. Please. You can see I am not writing don't leave me in italics like I did in the previous paragraphs.

Taking A Break From Taking A Break

Hi sweetheart. Welcome to a brand new week. Hope you are doing great!

Until His Kingdom Come

Taking a break

Aside from the very first two weeks after my Wedding Day, these past two weeks have been the most exciting, refreshing and eventful one. I literally was locked up at home with my husband for the entire period. And trust me, I enjoyed every minute of it!

It’s surprising how loud silence can be. Especially when you’re not used to it. This has been my experience each day, sitting there in the arms of the one I love. Alone. It was beautifully silent — but for the oscillating sound of our neighbour's generator set — and my soul decompressed from weeks on end in the rush to achieve my goals. My body and soul has found fresh air there that was hard to come by before the lockdown. I am grateful.

I want you to join me. Not in my husband's arms (that is never going to happen) but in some silent, occasional solitude of your own. You need a break from the chaos, from the noise and the crowds, more than you may think at first. You need the spiritual disciplines of silence and solitude.

What Are The 7 Wonders Of Life According To You?

Hi, hi! It's been a minute. Working a 9-5 job as well as planning a wedding (in fact three weddings. A court wedding, a traditional wedding and a church wedding. Phew!) have been taking the biggest chunk of every twenty-four hours I get. Happy I can squeeze out time to write a post here. May we never lose our wonder in the passage of time. Amen.

The Seven Wonders Of Life

You have heard a lot about the seven wonders of the world, and may have even visited few or all of them. But have you ever given a thought about the 7 Wonders Of Your Personal Life?

I mean, have you?

Life in itself is a wonder. Life is full of wonder. But sometimes we get carried away by the busyness of our life and miss out on the things that make life wonderful for what it is. I've continued asking people the same basic question. How do you stay fully present, fully-engaged, fully-alive? I've also asked my private diary like a beggar asking for scraps of wisdom , "how do I not lose myself in all of these?" And the answer is astounding:

"never lose your childlike sense of wonder." (Thanks to Bethel Music. Yo!)

So, what is wonder? According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, wonder is a feeling of amazement and admiration, caused by something beautiful, remarkable, or unfamiliar. Oh, I love this definition. Wonder gives depth to our passion. Wonder reignites our faith. Wonder asks us to live with eyes wide open to God. Wonder invites us out of the shallows and into hallows of the divine.

The wonders about life are relative. Because we all look at the world around us differently, so what strike wondrous to you is unique to you.

I'll share a few wonders about my life (perhaps I should say as at today, they could change, right?) while you share yours in the comment box:

Mistakes Are Okay

Many times, the guilt we feel over our mistakes is much worse than the mistakes themselves.

Can we receive grace to forgive ourselves?

Make More Mistakes

We all want to do everything right, but that is not going to happen as long as we are in this body of flesh, living. If we could be perfect in our behaviour, we wouldn't need God.

Think about it.

Jesus died for us because we could not be good enough on our own to enjoy a relationship with God that is completely holy. If you truly love God, if you are in love with Jesus, you will not want to sin or displease him. You will do everything you can to stay away from sin. But you will sin, and you cannot let that distract you or hinder you from moving on with God.

PHOTO: What Is Art, Really?

Few minutes ago, I was playing with an app on my phone called 'PicsArt' and viola! this beautiful picture happened! The tag line on this app says "everyone is an artist". So I'm wondering, perhaps we should ask: what is art, really?

What Art Means To Me

I have worked closely with various kinds of artists. As a matter of fact, I work in a creative industry. So I am open to a wide range of art. However, one thing I find common among every artist I have come in contact with, is their emotions and personal experiences. They pour it out like streams of water. It's inspiring HOW they share it.

Just Play On, Baby!

The sweetest month is here!!! Happy June!!! It's my birthday month!!! I'm happy and sad!!! Lol.

I accidentally sat on a piano yesterday and found this inspiration.

Like The Piano

May 31, 2017

Life is like a piano. The white keys represent happiness, the black keys show sadness. But as you go through life’s journey, remember that the black keys make music too . . . I totally agree with Ehssan.

One Way To Survive Sitting In The Office All Day

I'd choose to work lying down on a couch than sitting at a desk if I had the chance. Sitting at a desk for more than an hour is actually not a good thing. Hope you know?

It's career-Wednesday! Found ONE tip while making a research about my sudden back pain.

Prevent Back Pain At Work

source: g+

I typed "How to reduce back pain" on Google search box and the MAJOR thing that stood out was:

Change your posture at intervals.

So if you work in an office and use a computer most of the time, this tip is especially for you . . .

No matter how comfortable you are in an office chair, prolonged static posture is not good for the back and is a common contributor to back pain and muscle strain.

Dear Diary, I Can Have The Job Whenever I Want

I'd not be shocked if he picks up his phone to call me right now, asking me to delete his pictures from my blog. He is such a private person.

My Former Boss

I turned onto the street where I used to work. I hadn’t been there in two years. I thought about what I'd say and how I'd smile.

26 Life Principles To Guide You Every Day Of Your Life

I found this on a WhatsApp group and thought to share it with you. It is VERY good for the soul. Enjoy!

Prepare Your Heart

I don't get too excited when God gives me a word anymore. In fact, I become anxious. Lol. I have come to know that when God says something is coming, it might take a week, a month or a year to see it come to pass (or to fully understand it). And that period of waiting can be such a long, tough one.

Prepare Your Heart

2016 taught me a whole lot about waiting for the manifestation of a Word.

I grew in the knowledge of patience, faith and love. I can't even tell you how much pruning and cleaning and re-pruning my heart went through. Ah!

2 Things To Do Before The Year Ends

How would you describe your year? For some of us, it has been the fastest year. While for some of us, it seem to have been the slowest year.

Whatever be your case, you can still have the best one.

Just Before The Year Ends

"This is not the time to cry or give up. In fact, this is the best time to get fired up, push forward and have the best year ever."

That was what I said to myself as I read the vision written down in my private diary again.

17.11.16

Gosh! I Hate Meetings

Meetings are one of the biggest time wasters ever. I've attended a couple of meetings over the past week and thought to myself "So, what did we achieve with this?"

Meetings Suck

I was asked to design an e-flier with respect to a meeting that is scheduled for Sunday. While at it, I remembered the previous meeting I attended . . .

DIARY: Does This Make Any Sense?

A number of people requested that I keep them updated on my 30-Day Man Fast. I shrugged at it because I consider it to be a personal journey between me and God. Then again, I thought to share moments that weren't creepily sacred.

This was what Day1 of my 30-Day Man Fast looked like . . . Clueless but cognizant.

30-Day Man Fast
Day 1: God Loves Me

I grabbed my diary, my Bible and a pen as though I was expecting God to suddenly start dictating for me to write.

How To Feel Better When You Feel Miserable

Hello! I know it's Monday but can we talk about something "annoying" for a minute, please?

When God cursed Eve, did He mention that she was going to have terrible menstrual cramps too? Just asking for a friend. She is in so much pain right now. :(

Making Sickness An Adventure

She was on the bed. Instead of sleeping or resting, she was rolling from one point to another. And making some creepy sounds.

She was getting me really scared.
